On the way out of Oregon we stopped at Crater Lake! It was absolutely breathtaking. There were TONS of people there for some reason so we made it quick and got our photos we wanted and headed out!
We got all the way to Trinidad that night where we slept on the side of the road across from a gas station. No Walmart or truck stops but we were fine!
Woke up at 9am and went to Agate beach and found 3 agates in 20 mins.
For those of you that have never searched for them, that’s rare. I spent summers visiting my grandparents in this area and they always took me here and I’ve only ever found a couple!
Then we went to breakfast at “Beachcomber Cafe” before heading to the Sunday market around the corner.
It was the first Sunday they hosted the market. Our luck and timing is out of control.
We headed out of town and arrived for lunch at “In and Out” at 4pm in Ukiah. The true taste of home.
We made it home to San Jose, CA at 7pm.

The math breakdown from Chris’ sweet uncle. Yes we did spend time places :) We get antsy and bored easily sometimes and we knew ultimately what type of place we wanted to end up. I wouldn’t slow down or speed up the trip at all. I feel like it was perfect. The driving was honestly the best part (even in as the passenger). We giggled, rocked out to our air guitars, had delirious inside jokes, and deep serious talks. I love my adventure buddy and I’m so glad we were fortunate enough to pull this off together.
